The most current release of the improveit 360 Lightning experience includes enhancements to the Time Block Scheduling feature, new HTML Document Templates, enhancements to allow for a One Click Contractor integration, as well as a multitude of styling and reformatting items for more seamless use of the Lightning experience on the Salesforce Mobile App, as well as bug fixes for both the desktop application and the mobile app.
Time Block User Interface Enhancements
-
- Time Block lookup on the Schedule Sales Appointment flow, Sales Appointment record page, Create Project Activity action, and Project Activity record page is now set to read-only. The Time Block Scheduling Calendar is the only place a User should be changing the Time Block.
- Two custom settings were created, ‘Use Project Activity Scheduling Calendar’ and ‘Use Sales Appointment Scheduling Calendar’. These check boxes are an addition to “Use Project Activity Time Block Scheduling’ and ‘Use Sales Appointment Time Block Scheduling’.
- No custom settings are checked, no calendars appear.
- One custom setting is checked for an object, that calendar shows on the page and the other calendar is not rendered.
- When custom settings are both checked for an object, the Time Block Calendar appears first (in either the New Project Activity modal or the Schedule Sales Appointment Flow) in an open accordion section followed by the Scheduling Calendar in a closed accordion section, and you can only view one calendar at a time. If the other calendar's accordion section is opened, the previous calendar's accordion section collapses.
Note: Expanding the Tick Block Scheduling Calendar will collapse the Scheduling Calendar
The converse is also true. When you expand the Scheduling Calendar, the Time Block Scheduling Calendar is collapsed to save screen space while allowing users the option to use both scheduling tools.
Note the difference in functionality of these two tools. The Scheduling Calendar is used to Select a Sales Rep and a specific Time. The Time Block Scheduling Calendar is used to assign the Sales Appointment to a Time Block, rather than a specific Rep.
- Overcapacity
- ‘Allow Overcapacity Scheduling’ field was created on Time Block, defaulted to unchecked and added to page.
- Time Blocks that are at or over capacity and can be overbooked are shaded in orange, rather than red, and are selectable.
- Availability calculation now excludes when the Sales Appointment’s Status Detail is set to ‘Canceled.’
Document Enhancements
-
- Three HTML Documents and Libraries have been created. Documents (objects) include: Invoice (Sale), Lead Sheet (Sales Appointment) and Estimate (Quote).
- PDF Generator and PDF Helper has been added to Lightning Page Layouts for Quotes, Sales Appointment and Sale
One Click Integration
-
- Created custom endpoint ({{base_url}}/services/apexrest/i360core/oneclick/result). This is controlled via Protected Custom Settings
-
- Created custom setting that allows the customer to choose whether they would like a Sale created from Resulting a Sales Opportunity as ‘Sold’ or not. SetUp>Custom Setting> Integration Settings
-
- Created Result Flow in Apex that will allow you to result Sales Opportunities and Sales Appointments via API
Product Object Enhancement
-
- Created a multi-select Territories field on the Product object. Future intended use is multi-location customers who sell different Products in each Territory, or pricing is different between two Territories.
