The Inquiry object is optional in improveit 360. Records will not be created within this Object unless you have turned on the native system triggers. This Article covers what the Inquiry object is used for, and how to enable it.
The Inquiry record is related to the Account, Contact, and Address and the record stores the Interests from all Sales Opportunities created during the eLead Conversion process or the Quick Lead entry Save action.
Inquiry records are only created when:
- An eLead is converted (not created)
- A new Account and Contact are entered using the Quick Lead tool.
NOTE: There are no Inquiry records created if a new Sales Opportunity is created for an existing Account/Contact.
The Inquiry record will store the Lead Source Name, Taken On date, multiple Interests as well as critical data from the Address and Contact records like the First and Last Name, Phone number, Email address, Zip Code, and geolocation.
This object is most often used in conjunction with a call center software like Five9 or Regal. This object allows you to track all Interests on one record as opposed to the Sales Opportunity object which tracks each Product Category of interest as a separate record.
The Inquiry object can also be used to track the Most Recent Sales Appointment Date, and the Quoted Amount, allowing for a better rehash experience for call center representatives.
