Improveit 360 utilizes Record Type to differentiate a Canceled Sale from Standard Sales still being worked by your company. Watch the 1.5min video or follow along with the Article below to learn how to Cancel a Sale and what information is tracked when a Sale is Canceled.
From any Sale page, click the Cancel Sale button
The system will prompt you to enter a Cancel Reason and the date of Cancellation. The Cancel Reason(s) picklist can be customized, see also: Working with Picklists
Select the Cancel Reason and click Next.
Note the Sale Status has been updated to Canceled and the Canceled On Date and Cancel Reason have been added to the Sale. Although not noticeable, the Sale also has had a change in Record Type.
The Record Type is now Canceled Sale.
Uncancel a Sale
If the Sale was Canceled by mistake, you can easily uncancel the Sale using the Uncancel Sale button at the top of the page.
Note that the Sale will revert back to the Status it had before the Cancelation. The Record Type is also changed back to a Standard Sale.
If you would like to add custom fields to either the Standard Sale page Layout, or the Canceled Sale page layout see our content on Adding Fields to Record Pages
