Below is a 5-minute demonstration of the Payment Links feature using the PaySimple Integration from improveit 360. This allows your team to request payments in a specific dollar amount. Your clients will use PaySimple's online payment portal to quickly make a payment and store payment methods for future use.
Event behavior:
- Payment Created - This Event happens when the Payment link Status is Authorized
- Payment Settled- This Event happens when a user pays the requested amount. After the amount is Settled, it will be updated Status as Settled on the Payment Link record while also creating a Payment record with a Positive amount, Type as "Payment" & creates a Payment Link lookup on Payment
- Payment Refund- This Event happens after the Payment amount is Settled and when a user chooses the action Refund in PaySimple, creating a Payment record with a Negative Amount and Type as "Refund".
- Payment Failed - This Event happens when a user enters invalid Credit card information, expiration Date, etc.
- Payment Voided - This Event happens before Payment is Settled.
- Payment Returned - This Event is Similar to the Refund payment event when a user enters Bank details with insufficient funds
- Payment Ready for Settlement - This Event is similar to the Settled Payment Event and happens when the payment is in the process of Settlement
Payment are created when:
- A Payment with a positive amount is created when a payment_settled event is received
- Payment of Type of 'Payment'
- A Payment with a negative amount is created when a payment_refunded event is received
- Payment of Type of 'Refunded'

NOTE: As of March 21, 2025 there is a known bug which prevents Settled Payments from being created in improveit 360. When the Payment is Settled in PaySimple, your team will need to manually create a Payment record once the funds are settled.
As of May 22, 2025 the above bug has been resolved, and a Payment record is created within improveit 360 when a Payment is Settled in PaySimple.
