Hover for Salesforce Integration Overview

Hover is a property intelligence platform used primarily by roofing, exterior remodeling, insurance, and home improvement companies. It uses smartphone photos to create accurate 3D models of a property, providing measurements, roof dimensions, siding quantities, and material estimates without requiring someone to measure the home manually.

For contractors, this means they can generate quotes more quickly, improve estimate accuracy, and reduce the need for multiple site visits.

How Hover integrates with improveit 360

Hover offers a native Salesforce integration that connects Salesforce (and improveit 360) with Hover's property measurement and inspection workflows.

A typical workflow looks like this:

1. Create a Hover job from improveit 360
   • A sales rep creates a Quote in improveit 360.
   • With one click, the system creates a corresponding Hover job using the customer's information and property address.
2. Homeowner or Sales Rep captures images of the property
   • Hover can send the homeowner a text or email with instructions to photograph their home using the Hover mobile app.
   • Alternatively, a Sales Rep at the home can use the Hover App to take photographs of the jobsite.
3. Hover processes the photos
   • Hover's 3D reconstruction engine analyzes the images and generates:
     • Roof measurements
     • Siding measurements
     • Windows and doors size
     • Property dimensions
     • 3D model
     • Measurement reports (PDF and other formats)
4. Results sync back to improveit 360
   • Once processing is complete, Hover automatically sends the measurements back to improveit 360, on the Hover Job record.
   • This integration can:
     • Attach the measurement PDF
     • Store measurement data in a custom Salesforce object (Hover Jobs)
5. Generate estimates
   • If enabled, users can initiate Hover's material estimation workflow from Salesforce and synchronize material lists and estimates back into Salesforce for quoting and fulfillment.

Common information synchronized includes:

• Customer and property information
• Job status
• Property measurements
• Roof and siding dimensions
• Measurement PDFs
• Inspection reports
• Material estimates (additional configuration required)

Example workflow for a roofing company

Imagine a homeowner requests a roof replacement:

1. A sales rep creates a Quote in improveit 360.
2. The rep clicks Create Hover Job.
3. The homeowner photographs the house using the Hover app.
4. Hover generates a complete roof measurement in a few hours.
5. The measurements and PDF automatically appear on the Hover Job record.
6. The estimator uses those measurements to build an accurate Quote to send to the homeowner.
7. The proposal is sent to the customer—often through an integrated document platform such as PandaDoc or HelloSign.
