When troubleshooting you should be aware of the data being sent to Vendo and what data is sent back from Vendo when the Appointment is Resulted.
Sales Opportunities and Sales Appointment data is sent to Vendo when the Appointment is set and assigned to a Sales Rep matching a Sales Rep in Vendo (note their Email address in Vendo and improveit 360 will need to match exactly). Be sure to map the improveit 360 Email Address in the improveit 360 Lightning ID field on the Vendo User:
What Data does improveit 360 send to Vendo?
The Sales Opportunities will be available in Vendo for each Product Category.
- Address data
- Street Address, City, State, Zip
- Contact data
- First Name, Last Name
- Phone only is displayed to the Rep (not Mobile Phone, Home Phone or Other Phone)
- Sales Appointment data
- Appointment Date/Time
- Duration
- Comments
- Sales Opportunity data
- Interested In
CRITICAL INTERGAITON NOTE: The Vendo Catalog Name must exactly match the Interested In value in improveit 360.
In Vendo, Reps will see the Appointments they are Assigned.
Note that if the Product Category did not match a Vendo Catalog the Rep does not see any Products of Interest on the Sales Appointment.
In the example above, missing Product Category, if the Sales Rep proceeds with the Appointment and adds a Product and Vendo Catalog, when that data is pushed back to improveit 360 it will NOT update the existing Sales Opportunities and it will NOT create a new Sales Opportunity matching the Vendo Catalog value as that is not a valid Product Category in improveit 360.
Vendo will send the Result and Result Detail values back to the Sales Opportunity records in improveit 360. If the Sales Opportunity is Resulted as Sold, Vendo will also send the Total Price Quoted to improveit 360 and all contractual documents like the Proposal.
NOTE: When the Result Detail of the Sales Opportunity is "Demoed Not Quoted" the Quote File and Total Price Quoted do NOT come back into improveit 360.
What data points come back into improveit 360 from Vendo?
When the Sales Rep Results the Appointment, the following Object Fields are updated:
- Status and Status Detail on the Sales Appointment
- Result and Result Detail for each of the Sales Opportunities
- Total Price Quoted on the Sales Appointment
- Comments on the Sales Appointment
Here is an example payload from Vendo:
How do we know which Documents will come over to improveit 360 from Vendo?
Only the Documents in the Final Documents section on the Sales Appointment in Vendo will be pushed back in improveit 360.
If the Sales Rep Results as Lost in Vendo, the Documents the Rep created in Vendo will be marked as Canceled.
The Total Price Quoted will not come into improveit 360 when the Proposal document is Canceled. In this example, the Sales Appointment was Resulted as Lost and the Documents were Canceled in Vendo.
This means only the Status and Status Detail of the Sales Appointment and the Result and Result Detail of the Sales Opportunities are updated. Total Price Quoted is NOT updated, and only Documents which do not require a Signature will be sent to improveit 360.
The Final Documents section shows the Documents that will come back into improveit 360.
How do we know which improveit 360 Results are mapped to Lost in Vendo?
Go to the Vendo Settings > Result Mapping
In the Sales Appointment Resulting section note which Results are mapped to Lost.
These Results will not have Documents or Total Price Quotes coming back into improveit 360. This may be critical information for Rehashing any "Demoed and Quoted" Opportunities.
This change would be an enhancement to Vendo's current integration. Please open a Vendo Support ticket and ask for this enhancement to be prioritized for your business.
Also note, any Results mapped to Pending will not Result the Sales Opportunity but will send over any Proposal documents that have not been Canceled by the Rep.
How do we choose different Results for each Product Category?
In Vendo settings, be sure to set the Appointment Settings > Product Filtering setting.
Check the checkboxes to Filter Product Catalogs Based on Product Interest AND Result Each Product Category
This will ensure that Reps can select a different Result for each Product Category.
