Next you'll want to setup a Fiscal Year if your business' fiscal year does not start in January. And you'll set your company's Business Hours to ensure you do not schedule Sales Appointments or Project Appointments during off-hours. Note: Do NOT re-name the Business Hours record.
Only Administrator Users will be able to set Fiscal Year and Business Hours.
Watch this 2-minute video or follow the click-path Article below
Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen and click on Setup
Go to the Company Settings menu:
Choose the Fiscal Year menu
Note: improveit 360 goes not recommend using a Custom Fiscal Year as it interferes with Reporting capabilities.
Set your Business Hours
Business Hours setting will impact the way your Staff Calendar is displayed and the Hours available to schedule from the Scheduling Calendar tool.
By default, the Calendar will display 24 Hours in a day. However, you can adjust the Business Hours to reduce the Hours your company is available to be scheduled, and the hours displayed on the Staff Calendar.
In the Setup menu search for "Company Settings" and choose Business Hours
Next to the Default Business Hours choose Edit
Be sure to select the appropriate Time Zone and uncheck the 24 Hours checkbox for all the days your business does not operate 24-Hours. Set the Start time as the earliest you might ever schedule an Appointment, Installation or Event (like an in-office meeting). Set the End time to the latest your staff might be at an Appointment or installation site.
Note: If there are days you do not operate (like Sunday) you can set your Start and End times to only 1 minute duration so that this day would not be available for scheduling.
DO NOT RENAME the Default Business Hours record. If you need to create different Business Hours records for different office locations or territories, be sure to create a NEW Business Hours record, do NOT change the name of the Default record.
When finished click Save.
This change will impact both Sales Appointments and Project Appointments.
