Each improveit 360 system comes with pre-defined out-of-the-box Email Templates. If you aren't familiar with what the system comes with, check out the Lifecycle Email Communications Guide.
This Article covers how to Edit your company's Email Templates. Watch this 7min video and follow along with the Article below.
Note: Only Users who are System Administrator's with a Salesforce license type (not Salesforce Platform license users) will have the ability to Edit Email Templates and access the Email Template Builder.
From the App Launcher menu, go to Email Templates
Choose the Public Email Templates folder
Here you should see all the out-of-the-box Email Templates included with your improveit 360 system.
Click on the Name of the Template you'd like to Edit, then click Edit in Builder.
In this example, we want to add a Hyperlink to the Sale Completed email. I will click into the body of the Email which will open the text editor on the right side of the screen.
Here I will highlight the words "positive review" and then select the Link button in the formatting tools.
Next, you'll enter the desired Hyperlink and text to represent that link.
Next, if you'd like to insert any Merge Fields be sure to select the appropriate Object where the field resides. In this example we may want to add the Sales Rep to the email signature.
Click Merge Fields
Then select the Object where the field resides. In this case, we will select the Sale object.
Then select the field you want to use and click Insert.
The Email Builder will insert the merge field value into the body of your Email, exactly where your cursor was.
You may need to format the newly inserted field to match the text formatting in the rest of your Template.
Adding Images to an Email Template
If you would like to add images to your Email Templates, you will first need to upload them to the Asset Library in the Files menu. In this example we are uploading an image of our Angi's List Awards, to include in the body of the Email Template.
Navigate to the App Launcher and go to Files.
Go to Libraries and then go to Asset Libraries.
Note: If you do not have access to the Asset Library folder, your System Administrator User will need to Share this Folder with you. If you do not see the Libraries menu at all, your System Admin will also need to grant your User's Profile access to Libraries.
Browse your hard drive for the desired file to upload.
Set the File to be accessible to Guest Users and Salesforce Org Users.
If you have additional images you want to add to the Template, continue creating Asset Files with the images until you have all the images uploaded.
When finished uploading your images, go back to the App Launcher and return to the Email Templates menu.
Locate the Template where you want to insert the logos, and click Edit in Builder.
Click anywhere in the Body of the Template to open the Editor in the pane on the right.
Then click the image icon to insert an image, choose Salesforce Files as the location.
Choose from the Files you've recently uploaded, then click Insert.
Once inserted, you can click and drag to resize the image.
Continue using this tool to insert all the images you would like to add to your Template.
When finished making changes to the Template, be sure to click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
