In the Lightning Report Builder, you are able to create Row-Level Formulas and Summary-level Formuals however there are limitations to the Data Types which can be used for each. For this reason, there are still use-cases for creating a Formula Field on the object, rather than in the Report builder.
In this Article we will cover how to add a Row-level Formula in the Report Builder to count the number of Projects which were Canceled. We will also show how to create a Percentage formula field on the Object itself, and then add that field to our Report.
Before adding a Formula, be sure to Save your Report.
In the Columns menu, you can choose a Row-level Formula or a Summary Formula.
Summary Formulas support the following Data Types: Number, Percent and Currency
Row-Level Formuals support the following Data Types: Number, Date, Date/Time and Text
