How does financing work?
Financing is built directly into your quoting workflow.
When creating a quote:
- The financing widget displays estimated monthly payments
- Your customer can select “Check offers”
- The homeowner reviews available loan options through Acorn
- If approved, they proceed directly with the lender
Customers can check options without impacting their credit score, and financing details can be included in the final proposal.
How does this help me close more deals?
Financing removes one of the biggest barriers in the sales process—price.
With financing built into improveit 360, your team can:
- Present monthly payment options instead of total project cost
- Reduce sticker shock during in-home presentations
- Give customers a way to move forward immediately
This makes financing a consistent, repeatable part of how your team sells.
How much can customers borrow, and what are the terms?
Acorn Financing offers loan amounts from $1,000 to $100,000*. Rates can be as low as 0.99% APR depending on the customer’s credit profile, and funding may be available in as little as one business day*.
Actual terms, rates, and approvals vary by lender and by customer.
Does checking financing affect my customer’s credit score?
No. Customers can check available financing options without impacting their credit score. A full credit check is only required if they decide to move forward with a specific lender.
Does this cost anything to use?
No. There is no cost for improveit 360 customers to offer financing.
Homeowners work directly with the lender, and you are not responsible for the loan. This means you can offer financing without taking on financial risk or managing the lending process.
Where will my customers see financing?
Financing appears directly within the quote experience and can also be included in the proposal you share with the customer.
This means customers can review monthly payment options while they are considering your proposal, rather than needing to go somewhere else to figure out how to pay for the project.
What happens after a customer is approved?
If a customer selects a financing offer and is approved, they complete the loan process directly with the lender. Funds are then made available according to the lender’s terms.
From your side, the process stays simple—you continue managing the job in improveit 360 as usual.
Are there any limitations I should be aware of?
Financing is typically available for projects of $1,000 or more. Loan approvals and terms depend on the customer’s credit profile, and availability may vary by location.

What makes Acorn different from other financing options?
Acorn Finance is a marketplace of lenders, which allows customers to compare multiple financing options in one place. Instead of being limited to a single lender, they can review and choose the option that works best for them. For your team, this keeps the process simple while still giving customers flexibility.
Best practices for using financing in your sales process
Financing is most effective when it is introduced early and used consistently. Instead of waiting for a customer to ask about payment options, it should be part of every relevant quote.
When your team leads with monthly payments and positions financing as a standard option, it becomes easier for customers to move forward confidently.
* Advertised rates and terms are subject to change without notice. Estimated interest rates, APRs, and other terms are not binding in any way. For illustrative purposes only, if you request $10,000, you could get a total loan of $10,000 with an 8.94% interest rate and $0 fees (note, if the lending partner charges an origination fee, it will increase the APR). You would receive $10,000 with 84 payments of $161. Your actual interest rate and APR will depend on factors like credit score, requested funding amount, and credit history. Only borrowers with excellent credit will qualify for the lowest rate. Offers represent lowest monthly payment for amount and term displayed. When evaluating offers, please review the funding partner’s terms and conditions for additional details. All loans and other financial products are subject to credit review and approval by our partners.
If approved, funding times may vary. Underwriting criteria is established by our partners, not Acorn Finance. Most of our lenders will do a soft pull, which does not impact your credit score; however, our funding partners will conduct a hard credit pull when you express interest in an offer, and this could impact your credit score.
