First you will need to expose the native Salesforce Calendar by unhiding the Tab.
Go to Setup
Step 1: Disable Enhanced Profile User Interface
- From Setup, enter User Management Settings in the Quick Find box.
- Select User Management Settings.
- On the User Management Settings page, disable the Enhanced Profile User Interface.
Once the Enhanced Profile User Interface is disabled, we can now proceed to enabling or disabling the Calendar tab on the specific profiles.
Step 2: Configure Calendar Tab Visibility on the Profile
- From Setup, enter Profiles in the Quick Find box.
- Select Profiles.
- Edit the profile you want to adjust. If you aren't sure which Profiles are in use, go to the Users page and look at the Profile being used by each User.
- Scroll down to the Tab Setting section where we can see the Calendar setting.
- Set the Calendar Tab to 'Default On' as the value, then click Save.
Next the Admin can login as a specific User to share their Calendar or instruct the User to complete the following steps:
Step 3: Login as the User and Share their Calendar
Go to the Users menu and Click Login next to the User who needs to Share their calendar.
Navigate to the Calendar Tab using the App Launcher menu.
Use the down arrow next to My Events and choose Share Calendar
Here you will Share your Events with a specific User and choose which level of access each person has to your Calendar. Note: you will need to share one User at a time. There is not a multi-select option or public group sharing.
NOTE: An Admin User could Login as each User to set Event Sharing for the Users individually. Or the individual Users can share their own Calendar with others. Unfortunately, there is no way for the Admin to mass share Events while logged in as the Admin user.
When finished Sharing, you may want to set the Calendar Tab back to Hidden as not to confuse Users between the improveit 360 Staff Calendar and the native Salesforce calendar. Note: Sales Appointments and Project Activities do not show on the native Salesforce Calendar.
